According to Major Maan al-Saadi, a commander for the Iraqi army's Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) said that a team of special forces came across a weapons mini-factory belonging to the ISIS militants in the district of al-Yabessat located in western Mosul, Al Sumaria News reported.
Among the discovered weapons were mortar missiles, rockets and rocket launchers used by the ISIS militants in west Mosul to repel the operation of the Iraqi forces who have been fighting against extremist group for more than six months.
The government of Iraq launched an operation for liberating the northern Iraqi city of Mosul from the ISIS terrorist group back in October 2016. By the beginning of this year, the forces managed to recapture the entire eastern part of the city and later on focus on the remaining western areas.
